Two first-teamers feature as international fixtures begin – News – Crystal Palace

The first fixtures of the international break have begun, with two Crystal Palace first-teamers in action. Keep track of all the results below!
Wilfried Zaha will look to add to his 28 caps for Ivory Coast in two friendlies against Togo and Guinea, both of which take place in France.
Meanwhile, teenage forward Malcolm Ebiowei has joined the England Under-20s squad for the September international break. He came on in the 70th-minute to make his U20 debut in a 3-0 win over Chile. Next up is a meeting with Morocco on Saturday.
In other news, Joachim Andersen played the full 90 minutes for Denmark as they lost to Croatia on Thursday night. He will now return home to host World Cup holders France in Copenhagen, in the final round of games before the beginning of the 2022 tournament in Qatar in November.
Those who haven’t yet played include Marc Guéhi, who has been named in the final England squad before the 2022 World Cup.
Guéhi played for England from Under-16 to Under-21, captaining the youth team and winning the Under-17 World Cup. He made his senior debut on the same night as Tyrick Mitchell, helping the Three Lions beat Switzerland 2-1 in March 2022.
England face two challenging Nations League matches as they prepare for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Having reached the semi-final in 2018 and then the European Championship final in 2021, Palace Academy graduate Gareth Southgate will be looking to take the national side to its first World Cup final since 1966.
He must announce his final 26-man squad by October 21st.
Midfielder Cheick Doucouré will join up with Mali, the aptly named ‘Eagles’, as they face Zambia and Libya, as he aims to earn his sixth and seventh cap for his country.
Finally, Jordan Ayew has been called up by Ghana. The Black Stars have named a 29-man squad for their two friendly matches, facing Brazil in a glamorous tie before taking on Nicaragua.
It is the final international break before the World Cup kicks off in November, with Ghana in a tricky group alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
Ayew will be looking to add to his 81 caps – only six players have more.
