Troo, the life insurance joint venture between EastWest and the 200-year-old global insurance expert Ageas Group, expands its reach by launching an Agency Sales distribution channel.
To capitalize further on the strengths and credentials of its financial parents, Troo has rebranded itself to ‘EastWest Ageas Insurance,’ aiming to be the top-of-mind insurance provider for Filipinos.
Celebrating the milestone, EastWest Ageas Insurance recently opened its first Agency House at PBCom Tower in the heart of Makati’s Central Business District, the first of many planned for Metro Manila and major cities nationwide.
EastWest Ageas also unveiled three upcoming products under the new Agency channel: Future Assure, Future Assure Max, and Life Essentials, all designed to provide clients with financial protection for their savings, education and retirement plans, and coverage for hospitalization and critical illness. These products will be available soon, exclusively through the channel’s Financial Consultants.
 The Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) celebrated its 49th anniversary on September 18 with a series of simple ceremonies and activities with the theme, “Tulong-tulong sa Pagsulong.  Pantay-pantay sa Pag-agapay.”
According to LWUA Officer-In-Charge Eileen Dela Vega, this year’s theme focuses on LWUA and all water districts working together as the country transitions from the severe pandemic-related health restrictions to a new phase of recovery.
To mark the event, LWUA has lined up a three-day program from September 21 to 23 including sports activities, an outreach project, and a simple program to present service awards to employees with decades of tenure at the agency.
LWUA, the agency tasked to promote and oversee water supply development outside Metro Manila, has so far helped establish 532 operational water districts spread across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.  This covers 648 cities and municipalities, translating to 5.3 million households or 22 million Filipinos as of last December.
COMCO Southeast Asia has recently announced the promotion and appointment of its homegrown managers and award-winning talents to key deputy positions in the company.
They are AC Recio, Harvey Llamosa, Queenie Resmundo and Patricia Raña.
The three  have been with COMCO SEA from the beginning and graduated from the Camp COMCO Mentorship Program, the multi-awarded, intensive, and comprehensive talent incubation, industry linkage, and apprenticeship program of the Agency.

Union Bank of the Philippines  announced the eight winners of its GlobalLinker Linker.Store Contest, which was launched in February 2022.
