Richarlison has been in good form for Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur this season, and he showed yet again this evening why Chelsea and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal wanted to sign in the summer of 2022.
The Tottenham forward scored two goals for Brazil against Ghana in a friendly international tonight.
Richarlison told FourFourTwo this month that “Chelsea made an offer” for him in the summer transfer window.
The Brazil international forward added that “Arsenal also contacted Everton” to ask about his “situation”.
However, it was Tottenham who paid the transfer fee that Everton wanted for the 25-year-old, according to Richarlison, as we covered here on HITC Sport earlier.
Richarlison is making an impact at Tottenham already and has given two assists in two Premier League starts.
The former Watford star has also scored two goals in two UEFA Champions League matches for Antonio Conte’s side so far this season.
Richarlison started for Brazil against Ghana in a friendly international this evening.
And he scored.
Twice.
Richarlison scored his first goal in the 28th minute when he shot home from outside the box following an assist from Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar.
Then in the 40th minute, the Tottenham star headed home from close range a delivery from Neymar.
Richarlison was substituted in the 63rd minute.
The Brazilian will be back in action for Tottenham in the North London derby against Arsenal after the international break.
Richarlison will be keen on maintaining his scoring run and banging in a goal or two against a team who wanted to sign him in the summer of 2022.
