Daniel T. Driscoll, 80, passed away on Sept. 21, 2022 after suffering a long but brave battle with cancer. Dan was born and raised in Westerleigh, and he graduated from Curtis High School in 1959. In 1960, he followed in his father’s footsteps and entered a six-year apprenticeship in the International Brotherhood of Electricial Workers. Simultaneously, Dan attended the College of Staten Island evening study program, from where he graduated in 1969. Additionally, he served in the Army National Guard from 1962-1968. Dan spent over 55 years working at Mulvihill Electric Co., as Superintendent and Vice President. He managed billion dollar projects such as the Holland Tunnel, and many other projects in NYC. Robert Costello, 76, of Hyannis passed away suddenly on Sept. 20, 2022. Born in Staten Island on Jan. 14, 1946 to the late Joseph T. Costello and Theresa (Flannery) Costello. Bob attended high school in Staten Island and joined the Army in August of 1967-1968. Bob was a Vietnam veteran where he worked as a Radio Operator. He returned home and began working on Wall Street for years. After Wall Street Bob enjoyed working as a bartender at the Richmond County Yacht Club where he made many friends. Barbara Auld Knierim, 87, of Lakewood Ranch, FL. passed away peacefully, Sept. 14, 2022 at the Lakewood Ranch Hospice House. She volunteered for 35 years as Republican District Committee woman in Mountainside, NJ. In Mountainside Barbara was a member of the choir for 30 years with her husband Tom and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Mountainside Church Council for many years. Read the full obit on SILive.
Dorothy O’Connell (nee Platt) passed away on Sept. 17, 2022, at the age of 91. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Dorothy loved to travel and enjoyed reminiscing about her experiences. She moved to Staten Island in 1978 and worked for Salmon Real Estate for over 15 years. She was an active member in the community and spent weekends looking for treasures at yard sales and watching the Oakland Raiders. Read the full obit on SILive.
Marguerite Zielinski, 91, died peacefully on Sept. 19, 2022. Marguerite was born on Nov. 16, 1930 in New Brunswick, N.J. to Concetta and Joseph Vella. She was an avid discount shopper who loved to read and play cards. She also enjoyed donating her time to the church. Read the full obit on SILive.
Elliott Jay Charrow, 63, passed away on Sept. 16, 2022 at Pine Run Health Center, Doylestown, PA. Elliott was born on April 30, 1959 in Brooklyn, to parents, Philip Charrow and Dorothy Simon.
