President's address comes amid protests over human rights violations
NEW YORK — Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. called for respect for international law and United Nations principles while promising an independent foreign policy in a General Assembly speech Tuesday.
“The Philippines shall continue to be a friend to all and an enemy of none,” he said.
